“Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained by a righteous life.” Proverbs 16:31
The Senior Adult Ministries of Colonial Hill is designed to help adults interact socially and grow spiritually. For social interaction there are game nights, movie nights, pot luck meals, pancake suppers, day trips to various area attractions and other events designed to allow fellowship in a relaxed and informal setting. Spiritual growth is encouraged by attending Senior Adult Camps at Circle Six Ranch Baptist Camp in Stanton, and Big Country Assembly in Lueders. We also,
in conjunction with the music ministry, attend the annual Senior Adult State Music Festival. This event is held in various locations across the state and features preaching and singing from churches big and small from across Texas. The Senior Adult Ministries also sponsors a Summer Bible Study each year. The event runs from Sunday night through Wednesday night and features a guest speaker who leads a study on a topic or book of the Bible.
The largest event on the Senior Adult calendar at Colonial Hill is the annual Senior Adult Appreciation Banquet. The banquet is held in February and grows in attendance every year. The banquet features a guest speaker and a thematic display in decoration and menu.
Don’t let the term Senior Adult put you off. Anyone of any age is welcome to attend any function that is of interest to you. It won’t mean you’re ready for the rocking chair if you show up. So come see what it’s like being a Senior Adult at CHBC.
